Statement on Democratic Recall Candidates
Juneau, WI... Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald (R‐Juneau) commented on Senator Mark Miller’s (D‐Monona) “roll‐out” of three Democratic recall candidates today:
"If Mark Miller thinks the three candidates he found to run in the senate recalls are going to bring anything productive to the table, he’s wrong. I have served in the legislature with these three candidates, and their only solution to fixing our state’s problems was to raise taxes by billions of dollars. Running retread
candidates is exactly what we had hoped the Democratic Party would do, because their failed tax‐and‐spend records will provide stark contrasts to our senators’ records of fiscal responsibility and pro‐jobs leadership.”
