Juneau, WI…:  Senator Scott Fitzgerald was proud to recently receive the endorsement of the Wisconsin Troopers’ Association (WTA) and the Wisconsin Sheriffs and Deputy Sheriffs Association in the upcoming election.

The WTA identified Fitzgerald as an outstanding leader who has been working hard to maintain high public safety standards and is consistently looking for ways to improve highway safety.  “The WTA proudly supports Senator Scott Fitzgerald who championed public safety and effective law enforcement,” stated Ryan Zukowski, WTA Executive Director.  “Senator Fitzgerald continues to support new safety initiatives that improve our highways and reduce traffic fatalities.  Wisconsin citizens should support lawmakers who recognize that public safety is a primary role of government.”

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of two vital public safety groups,” said Fitzgerald. “It has been my privilege to work with many law enforcement officers in the 13th Senate District and I look forward to continuing to serve with these distinguished men and women.”

The troopers, inspectors, and police communication operators that make up the statewide Wisconsin Troopers’ Association share a vision with Senator Fitzgerald and other lawmakers that safer roadways make Wisconsin a better place for all those who live, work, and travel here.

The Sheriffs and Deputy Sheriffs Association was started in 1945 for the purpose of promoting better public welfare and the cooperation of the different Sheriff's Deputies and Jail Officers that are all over the State of Wisconsin. Along with protecting life and property, they were also formed to help the prevention of crime and the apprehension of criminals.
